For this episode your host shares a playlist of various music that is all on 7″ wax, 45 RPM records. Now to be honest it wasn’t the inspiration for the episode but it just so happens that the format is in its 70th year of existence having been introduced to the record buying public by RCA Victor in 1949. It was all about being competitive when the affordable format was developed. And like all the various music formats the 45 has gone through its ups and downs along with some variations here and there but has never died (think DJs whose specialty is spinning reggae 45s). But the episode isn’t about the history of the 45, this description is more like an addendum or an afterthought so with that enjoy the music!
