Dan O’Keefe’s “Good Time Charlie’s Got The Blues” is a 1970 ode to lonesomeness that many could relate to during these transitional pandemic times.
This week Charlie, aka Chuck Da Fonk, finds inspiration in the tune and spins two Dan O’Keefe led versions, as well as covers of the title song by Elvis Presley and jazz guitarist Earl Klugh.
Good Time Charlie also offers up two special theme-focused mini sets, one of all songs with a Francophone bent, another set featuring several songs about Islamorada, a part of the Florida Keys Island chain.
Plus new music from Freddy Fox, Naeem, Chris Coco, Kito Jempere, Reinhard Vanbergen, Naeem, and Alex Frankel.
