This week, Join Thomas for a multi themed episode of Lost & Found starting off with Paul Weller’s “Floorboards Up” this episode of Lost & Found featured three themes. The first was songs with the word “Get” in the title. Like James Brown’s “Get Up I Feel Like Being Like A Sex Machine” or The Isley Brothers’ “Get Into Something.”
The next theme was Don’t. Like Big Star’s “Don’t Lie to Me” and Desmond Dekker & The Aces’ “Don’t Blame Me”
Then the last theme was the major (or pentatonic?) scale. Four songs based on going up and down the scale: Al Green with “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.” Otis Redding with. “I’ve Got Dreams to Remember.” Fine Young Cannibals with “Couldn’t Care More” and Amy Winehouse’s “Wake Up Alone” Then we ended with Hot Chocolate’s “Every 1’s a Winner” and signed off with amazing Japanese fun-filed alt-folk, pop, whatever Pascal playing “Wonder.”
