Today’s Song of the Day is one of my favorites of the rare Motown releases. Bottom and Company were from Nashville, and only released a few singles and eventually 1 album on Gordy in 1976. Their lifespan was short, but this song is a beautiful example of the modern sound changing at the time. For the longest time, I thought the song was ‘Gonna Find a True Love’ as opposed to its actual title ‘Gonna Find a True Life’. I’m sure you’ll hear it too!
