Starting life as a teen idol, Johnny made many transformations during his career that eventually led to Jamaica where he developed a Reggae sound giving him his biggest hit. This song, originally penned by country singer “Hank” Snow ( 1950 ) was recorded during his Soul period. Almost unrecognizable to the sedate original, this version hurdles along in an all-action kaleidoscope of pumping brass and Rhythm & Soul. It’s a relatively newbie to the scene, but continues to grow in stature.
