Today’s song of the day is a FUNKY gem! Last week I featured a song from the Lafayette Afro Rock Band on the show, which slowly lead me back to this one. Originally founded in France, they re-located to Roosevelt Island, New York City in the early 1970s. Hihache was originally taken from their 1973 album Soul Makossa, and is a seriously rare funk gem. The album has been re-released in many different forms through the years, and in 2009, Editions Makossa from New York City released this for the first time on 45. Though good luck getting your hands on it!
