Are there many records as divisive as “The Snake”? Well this record comes pretty close. Never officially released, all that is known is that it was recorded in the mid-60’s at Frank Virtue’s Philly studio, and the real artist is a mystery. It’s notoriety grew, however, when DJ John Vincent started playing the instrumental B side from an acetate. The vocal was then played by Keb Darge at Stafford’s TOTW. It’s certainly a crazy record, the lyrics are complete gobbledygook, but it’s a great dancer & tremendously good fun.
