Ramón Santamaría Rodríguez better known as Mongo Santamaria was responsible for some mighty fine compositions during the 85 years he spent on planet earth. ‘We Got Latin Soul’, Mongo’s take on Dyke & The Blazer’s ‘We Got More Soul’, was released in 1969 and ranks highly alongside some of the finest work produced by Mongo.
