This week on the London Hippy we are cruising on the sounds of Yacht Rock for a quick trip around the islands of Hawaii…expect sliding guitars, funky baselines and a whole load of harmony.
There’ll be elements of Jazz, Folk, Rock, Soul and Funk. The five from 1975 is a picture of Hawaii in the 70s. The second half of the show is where Jazz gets wild and Sade pops up towards the end. It’s a gorgeous collection of folk-rock favourites, yacht-rock classics and some brand new gems.
