Here at Blueboy’s Café, we mark International Jazz Day with a sunlit drift into jazz… opening gently with George Solar and Trumpet Man before settling into timeless moments from Donald Byrd and Herbie Hancock.
From the groove of Bob James and Grover Washington Jr. to the warmth of Quincy Jones and George Benson, this is jazz that breathes. As the light softens, we move through the coastal ease of Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto, into the glow of Roy Ayers and the desert tones of Hermanos Gutiérrez. Closing with Miles Davis, this is a journey from first light to afterglow… improvised, expressive, and always evolving.
