This week’s Liquid Sunshine goes back to the source with original early disco 12″s, recorded with real instruments and built on salacious strings and punchy horny horn sections.

From The Armada Orchestra’s “For The Love Of Money” and Tavares’ “Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel” to Celi Bee’s “Fly Me On The Wings Of Love” and Little Beaver’s “Groove On,” the set shows how much groove and feeling came from players in the room before the studio edit.

It’s two hours of live-band disco where every horn stab and string swell is the real thing.
