Blueboy’s Café Balearic Drift with Dave Baldwin

Amber Evenings

As summer softens into autumn, Blueboy’s Café draws the curtains and keeps the warmth alive.

James Bright’s “Amber” opens two hours of Balearic drift, with Johnny Nash, Zero 7 and Bonobo easing us towards the shoreline before Black Science Orchestra and Gotan Project bring a little movement to the room. Then the Café follows its curiosity: Neneh Cherry, Mandalay, Prince at the piano and Kraftwerk, before Seahawks, Faze Action and “Circus In Paris” carry us towards “September Without Ibiza.”

Sea air remembered, lamps glowing, a glass within reach. Join Dave Baldwin on The Face Radio, Balearic music for beautiful minds.
