This week’s Liquid Sunshine is a soft-spoken journey where jazz and funk breathe together, carried by the warm drift of flute and the shimmering pull of harp.

From Yusef Lateef’s meditative “Bishop School” and Pharaoh Sanders’ “Harvest Time” to Donald Byrd’s “Dominoes” and Rashaan Roland Kirk’s “Ain’t No Sunshine,” the set moves between spiritual calm and funky sway without ever hurrying.

It’s two hours of gentle, sunlit grooves that let the instruments do all the talking while the presenter rests his voice.
