Sho’ Nuff it’s an Organic Go-Go! Peter’s Superfly label released a killer 12” by The Organauts, I spin both sides of this glorious record and fill the whole show with organ jams of funk, soul, mod and loads more!
Blastin’’ 7s” from Colemine and Stax – Memphis being a huge Organ town, also Jamaicans participation with the organ, the reggae organ groove known as the Bubble. The key to the bubble is, of course, the rhythm. The right hand plays predictably on beats two and four (think of the classic reggae-guitar “chick – chick”). The spiciness is in the left hand, which plays all up-beats (or the “ands”).
