Last week Jimi Hendrix would have been celebrating his 82nd Birthday had he not passed at the tender age of 27. In honour of the man that gave so much inspiration the fast half the show is dedicated to some of his records, plenty of great covers and some words from the great guitarists that had met him, such as Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and B.B. King.
The second half of the show is rooted in the percussive sounds of Africa and we hear music new and old that transports us through the ages. The show ends in the blissful sounds of the 21st Century with some vibrant neo-soul.
