Chuck Da Fonk is cracking the whip and trying to get all the work done on this week’s FSQ radio show. Named after The Explorers’ “Crack The Whip,” the episode moves through left-field disco, synth-pop, Balearic grooves, cosmic funk and sophisticated late-night sounds.
The show features Factory Americans, the incredible Denver, Colorado-based singing, songwriting and production project led by Julian Gonzales. Chuck presents two standout tracks from the group: “To Make It Through The Day” and “Cigarella Heartbeat.”
There’s also a special focus on “The Curious Case of Existence”, the new album from JIM—the solo project of Crazy P’s Jim Baron, also known for his work as Ron Basejam. Plus, Chuck dives into a recent discovery: UK Brit-funk and new wave pros The Quick, represented by three tracks spanning their sharp, rhythm-driven sound.
Crack the whip, clear the schedule and get to work—Chuck Da Fonk has the soundtrack covered.
