As funk began to creep into the charts, Jazz artists, hungry for more action, began to make music for the dance-floors. It got damn right groovy, cosmic and very spiritual with tracks that hypnotised listeners with long, meandering magical improvised jams.
With a mixture of instrumental records and soulful lyricism this shows a homage to artists still loved today like Roy, Lonnie and Dee Dee.
