The fifth album by Italian jazz funk band Calibro 35 is set to boldly go where jazz funk has never been before. The exploration into outer S.P.A.C.E begins with an eerie sound of a slow beat sprinkled with a ‘Lalo Schifrin-esque’ keyboards. It then blasts off and bursts into life with the title track of the album S.P.A.C.E. Dare I say the album has all the hallmarks of a concept album as every track guides us on a journey beyond the stars.

Tracks like ‘Bandits On Mars’ with its 70s sounding fusion of guitars and keyboards coupled with a driving beat, is a great example of the dramatic sound the album delivers. When S.P.A.C.E lifts off hold on because this is one funky trip you don’t want to miss!
